Some front yards just need a reset. The beds were there, the plants were there - but without fresh mulch and clean edging, everything kind of blends together and loses its shape. That's exactly the situation we came into on this Elida, Ohio property.

We came in with fresh dark mulch and laid it throughout the front beds - around the shrubs, along the walkway, under the tree. Dark mulch does something simple but effective: it creates contrast. It makes the greenery pop, defines the bed lines, and gives the whole front of the house a much cleaner look.

We also used river rock to border one of the larger island beds out front. The rounded stones create a natural-looking edge that holds the mulch in place and adds a little texture to break things up. It's a low-maintenance detail that makes a noticeable difference from the street.

The shrubs got some attention too. Keeping everything neatly shaped is what ties the whole bed together - loose, overgrown shrubs can undo even the best mulch job. Clean shrubs, dark mulch, and a river rock border all working together is what makes a yard actually look finished.

A lot of homeowners don't realize how much of a difference this kind of work makes until they see it done. It's not complicated, but it has to be done right - the right depth of mulch, the right edge definition, the right stone placement. That's the part we take seriously on every job.
